Matthias Dienst (47) wird zum 11. Juni 2013 die Geschäftsführung der Televes Deutschland GmbH, Köngen bei Stuttgart, übernehmen. Der erfahrene Branchenexperte soll die Wachstumsstrategie weiter umsetzen, mit der das spanische Unternehmen seine Position im deutschen Markt für Empfangs- und Verteiltechnik weiter ausbauen will.

For another year running, Televes will take part in ANGACOM (former ANGA Cable), the true European reference for Broadband, Cable and Satelliite sectors in Europa, taking place between the 4-6th of June in Cologne (Germany). This time, the Company will present its vision of the future Connected Home, consisting of a state-of-the-art central console system controlling a full array of services that can be moduled to the needs of the home user.

Televes, a global leader in telecommunications distribution and test equipment, continues its commitment to growth in the US market with the appointment of Steve Strong, P.E. as the new Chief Operating Officer of Televes USA. Mr. Strong will coordinate engineering, marketing, and business development efforts for the US subsidiary.

Televes has been selected to test its Digital Building and Home solutions on BonFIRE, the largest Cloud Test Platform in Europe, to carry out large-scale business-oriented experiments and tests.

The BonFIRE Project (www.bonfire-project.eu) has a budget of around eight million Euros, and is financed by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme on Research and Technological Development. It receives participation from important multinationals, supercomputing centres and universities from ten European countries.

Televes Corporation’s UK subsidiary (Televes UK) today announced it is one of the companies who will supply high quality RF filters to at800 to help mitigate potential interference to terrestrial digital TV reception from 4G mobile phone services that will soon launch at 800 MHz.

at800 is the consumer brand of Digital Mobile Services Limited, the organisation responsible for ensuring UK viewers continue to receive free-to-air television when 4G mobile services at 800 MHz are launched later this year.

Televes, a global leader in Television reception, distribution and test equipment, is debuting its innovative H30 handheld, remote controlled, meter at NAB 2013 (Booth SU14011). The H30 is the latest in the company’s line of industry leading field meters incorporating the latest in measurement technology at a favorable price point.

Televes Corporation rates very positively its participation at the CABSAT 2013 expo, which was held in Dubai from 12th to 14th March. At this meeting, which sets a benchmark every year for the digital industry in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, the technological solutions presented by different subsidiaries of the Corporation, for the Health and Hospitality sectors, received an excellent reception.

Televes is launching a new range of transmodulators with remultiplexing that allows personalized distribution of content from up to three different transponders received via satellite (DVB or DVB-S2). This means that facilities such as hotels, hospitals or nursing homes can customise their own choice of TV channels, which can be modified without retuning TV sets.

Televes will once again participate as an exhibitor in CABSAT (www.cabsat.com), the main event for the digital industry in the Middle East, Africa and South of Asia. For this edition the company will provide strong arguments for its capacity in technological development beyond its core traditional business, transmission and distribution of radiotelevision signals, making a clear case for other niche markets with ample reach, such as IPTV, or digital applications targeted for the security and healthcare environments (Digital Hospital).

In an environment defined by multiple networks and technologies, Televes continues to offer proof of its capacity to offer professional installers new solutions and added value services. The company presents its new range of devices for signal distribution using fibre optics, covering all the necessities for the deployment of this type of network. 

Televes is launching the new DVBS/S2-COFDM transmodulator for digital satellite signals with S_ID control which allows the installer to change the channels present in an installation without the need to retune the televisions. This facilitates maintenance work in certain special facilities such as hotels, hospitals and residential buildings.

The 2012 edition of Broadcast Asia has helped Televes to consolidate markets within the Southeast Asia and Oceania region.
