The DAT HD aerial, the new generation of T0X headends and the H45 field strength meter were some of the devices that raised the greatest interest among professionals
Participation in the 2009 edition of ANGA Cable has allowed Televes to confirm, in the international forum of reference, its condition as leader in the technological development of equipment for handling radio-television signals. Under the slogan of ‘European Technology made in Europe’, the Spanish multinational showed the professionals of the sector its capacity to develop innovative solutions that offer the best performance and advance on the future of television.
The participants in ANGA Cable gave a good reception to the DAT HD as the first ‘intelligent aerial’ designed specifically for digital terrestrial television DTT and the future high definition television (HDTV) This device was one of the great attractions on the company’s stand, at the mercy of the technological milestone that is the incorporation of BOSS Tech (Balanced Output Signal System). This solution, developed and patented by Televes, makes <the DAT HD> a real ‘intelligent aerial’, by enabling the automatic regulation of the output signal level.
Together with the DAT HD aerial, the interest of the professionals from around the world who visited the Televes stand at ANGA CABLE was focused on the revolutionary range of H45 portable field strength meters, the first device of this kind to incorporate digital processing. The Televes engineers demonstrated to those present how this technology provides installers with a speed and precision in the execution of their work that was unheard of until now, and they carried out demonstrations of MPEG4 video decoding.
Distribution of Digital Services
Due to the profile of German distribution networks, which are mainly cable-based, it was also to be expected that ANGA Cable would give a good reception to the new generation of T0X headends. With these universal cross-modulation and transcoding systems Televés has achieved the most efficient way of distributing digital television services to the home.
Furthermore, the visionary hybrid modem that enables a broadband network to be established via coaxial cable or mains electric, the aerial for individual homes Diginova and the novel connection system for coaxial cable EasyF were other products that raised the interest of the professionals at the international event in Cologne, held from 26th to 28th May.
This way, ANGA Cable <2009 has> enabled Televes to consolidate its international leadership not only in the acquisition and distribution of the radio-television signal, but also as a technological partner capable of working on any means of broadcasting to ensure the audiovisual services reach the home. In this sense, we can highlight how one of the conclusions of the event was the great possibilities for development offered by fibre optic networks, a technology for which Televes has made a decided commitment as a means of access for services to the home. Therefore, Televés considers fibre optics as the perfect complement to radio-broadcasting via coaxial cable in the present and as its logical evolution in the future.
A Shared Success with the Group’s Firms
The success of the Televes Corporation at ANGA Cable 2009 was rounded off with the presentation of the products commercialised by Preisner, the Group’s German subsidiary, and with the innovative solutions offer by the firms Arantia, specialising in audiovisual solutions for large companies and hotels, and Tredess, which designs, develops and manufactures broadcasting and transmission equipment for digital television coverage.
