Santiago de Compostela, 8th of September 2009. Televes has announced the launch of an initiative aimed at recognising and rewarding the work of installers who find the best technical solutions to incidents linked to digital terrestrial television (DTT).
This is an international contest, open to all professional installers using the new Televes DAT HD antenna as part of their technical solution to ensure a better DTT reception.
In order to be able to take part in the contest, known as 1,000 Antennas 1,000 Solutions, installers need to file a report outlining the details of the technical solution they have implemented and fill in a form which can be found on the DAT HD antenna website: www.dathd.com.
The three best reports will each receive a H45 portable field meter, the first of its kind to feature digital processing. The winner of the first prize will receive an H45 Advance, worth 3,995 euros; the second prize winner will receive an H45 Compact HD (worth 3,000 euros), and the winner of the third prize will receive an H45 Compact (worth 2,550 euros). Additionally, the first 1,000 validated entries will each receive a DAT HD antenna.
A revolutionary antenna
This initiative, which underlines Televes’ commitment to provide permanent support to professional installers by offering them the very latest technology, forms part of a worldwide campaign to launch the new DAT HD, which made its first public appearance at the ANGA Cable Trade fair, held in Cologne from the 26th to the 28th of May.
The DAT HD antenna has been developed as a specific response to the particular characteristics of the digital signal, in order to take full advantage of its potential and guarantee optimum digital terrestrial television reception complete with all its accompanying services, such as high definition television (HDTV). The element which makes the DAT HD antenna really revolutionary is the BOSS Tech (Balanced Output Signal System), a technology developed and patented by Televes which allow the output signal level to be automatically adjusted by the antenna. Hence, the DAT HD becomes the first intelligent antenna in the world.
