Televes is presenting an antenna to watch television onboard ships and inside caravans
Santiago de Compostela, 28th October 2009. With the new Omninova antenna, the engineers at Televes have successfully overcome the challenge of developing an antenna capable of guaranteeing stable reception of digital terrestrial television (DTT) signal from moving vehicles. The result is a compact, versatile and reliable system produced from highly resilient materials.
All of this makes the Omninova antenna the ideal tool to watch television onboard ships, in caravans and any sort of vehicle, without movement affecting the quality of the reception.
This omnidirectional antenna is fitted with three amplifiers, one for each band (FM, BI-BIII and UHF), to avoid interference and minimise the effects of cross-modulation. In addition, it has been equipped with filters to reject non-TV signals, especially marine communications bands.
The Omninova antenna also features independent leads for radio and television, and is protected against electric surges.
Because of the harsh conditions which this kind of antenna must withstand, it has been produced from materials which are resistant to saltpetre, water, and general exposure. In addition, it is locked into a completely air- and watertight carcass.
European Technology Produced in Europe
The new Omninova antenna is manufactured at Televes’s own production plants and carries the European Technology Made in Europe label, to guarantee its reliability and technological innovation, a characteristic which has always defined the company’s products, and which is the fruit of a history spanning more than 50 years, as well as the compay’s industrial capacity and its strong commitment to Research, Development and Innovation (RDI).
