Televes takes another step forward with its range of signal analysers

The BSA 331 field analyser is a high-performance professional tool developedto assess centres emitting radio-communications

Santiago de Comostela, 29th October 2009. While in 2008 Televes made waves with the launching of its H45 range of portable field meters range, the first of their class to feature digital processing, the company is now taking another step forward in the field of professional signal analysis, with the new BSA 331 meter.

The BSA 331 is a system aimed at tele-communication installers, which, because of the high quality features it includes, is especially suited to the analysis and certification of D-type facilities: radio-communication-emiting centres.

The marketing of the product will take place under the Gsertel brand, the Televes Corporation firm which specialises in the design and development of professional, top-of-the-range systems for the analysis of telecommunications signals.

The BSA 331 boasts all of the features and capabilities of the H45 meter range, which are characterised by the speed and precision offered by digital processing. In addition, the BSA 331 model boasts the following extra features:

  • MER by DTT carrier: graphic representation of the MER parameter of the 6,875 carriers which make up a COFDM signal. This function identifies underlying interfering signals which share the frequency of DTT multiples (for example, analogue channels on the same channel as the DTT emission).
  • Temporal analysis of repetitive macro-measurements: this function allows the user to carry out macro-measurements at time intervals set by the user.
  • Advanced ECOS function: the temporal axis can be adjusted to represent the gap between a main signal and an echo, defining the concepts of pre-echo (echoes received before the most powerful signal) and post-echo (echoes received after the most powerful signal).
  • Installation protocol of DVB-T re-emitting centres: specific function for booster assessment.
