Televes certifies the quality of its software development processes
The company has reached level 2 according to the ISO/IEC-15504 (SPICE) standard
Santiago de Compostela, 28th january 2010. As a result of an improvement process initiated in 2006, Televes has reached compliance level 2 of the ISO/IEC-15504 international standard, which certifies the quality of the software engineering and development processes. This standard is also known as SPICE: Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination.
The ISO/IEC 15504 standard guarantees the quality of the software developed, enabling the assessment and continuous improvement of the processes.
The introduction of this standard certifies Televes’ firm commitment to better practices in software technology development at global level and ratifies the company’s commitment to quality.
A key factor for success in the markets.
Software quality is becoming more and more important every day in organisations, due to its influence in operating efficiency, in the quality of the product and, in short, in the capacity to compete in globalised contexts.
Furthermore, in the case of Televes we can highlight the development of applications like CAST60, reference software for the development of predictive studies on the behaviour of the radio-television signal in distribution installations; the CDC application for the remote configuration of headends, or the CoaxManager, software for the configuration of the CoaxData system, for broadband data transmission via coaxial or electric cable.
