Televes considers its participation in eDoceo 2010 a success

Fri, 05/11/2010

Santiago de Compostela, 5th November 2010. Televes rates its participation in the project eDoceo 2010 New Technological Developments as very satisfactory. This project was promoted by the Spanish Federation of Telecommunications and Electrical Installation Businesspersons (Fenie), and was held at the IFEMA Convention and Congress Centre in Madrid from 26th to 29th October.

Televes’ participation in eDoceo 2010 was focussed on the supply of telecommunications equipment for the construction of an authentic city of new technologies and energy efficiency.

The project involved the recreation of a complete urban environment, for which models of buildings, streets and gardens were built, equipped with the full range of services. In total, some fifteen environments were recreated, which included homes, offices, catering and distribution businesses, institutional buildings and schools and colleges. The whole development was a real display of the possibilities offered by new technologies to provide advanced services for telecommunications, home automation and building automation, besides public lighting management, installations for the development of electric cars, security and surveillance services, etc.

In this framework, Televes provided the project with all the necessary systems for the simulation of the television signal capture and distribution. From T0X distribution headends and AvantHD amplification exchanges, to the actual television points and home indoor amplifiers in the residential building. One of the most important was the CoaxData data transfer system in the banking building, and terrestrial and satellite antennas on the perimeter of the IFEMA pavilion where the event was held.

In addition, another two firms of the Televes Corporation participated in eDoceo 2010: Arantia provided a simulation of audiovisual services and VOD in the recreation of the hotel, and Tredess installed the video-surveillance systems in the same building.

Leadership and Support for Installers

Televes’ participation in eDoceo 2010 is set within the company’s policy to participate in initiatives which enable it to position itself as leader in the development and manufacture of equipment associated with telecommunications services for homes, as well as to provide backing and training to professional installers.
