Televes has received approval from Dish Network (http://www.dish.com/) -one of the main TV Satellite Operators in the USA, with 14 million subscribers- for its Watermarking solution on its suite of Clear QAM Encoders. Watermarking is the process of hiding digital information to verify the authenticity or integrity of the signal or to show the identity of its owners. Televes Clear QAM Encoders offers invisible watermarking as an option for forensic video analysis in an effort to prevent piracy. For another year running Televes, a global leader in the reception, distribution and testing of television signals in buildings and homes, will take part in NAB, the world's largest electronic media show, that will take place in Las Vegas (USA) between April 5-10th. Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, visited Televes headquarters yesterday and received a guided tour of the fully automated manufacturing line that Televes has deployed for the production of their range of DTT antennas, which received funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Commissioner was accompanied by Carmen Vela, Spanish Secretary of State for Research and Development; Elena Muñoz, Revenue Services Regional Minister, and Francisco Conde, Industry and Economic Regional Minister. One of the most prestigious specialist magazines in satellite TV reception in Germany has certified the excellent quality of the range of QSD dishes. The Satellit Emfang + Technik magazine awarded this Televes product 88 points out of a possible 100, giving it a rating of “very good”. Satellit’s analysis focuses on the QSD 75 model and highlights its main virtues as its finish, easy installation and the signal reception quality it provides. The report published in the magazine includes the conclusions of the analysis of two other dishes of similar characteristics from another two prestigious manufacturers. The United Kingdom has become Televes’ third largest export market, thanks to the success of the company’s UK subsidiary (Televes UK) in the sale of RF filters, which prevent potential interference in the home between new generation mobile signals (4G) and digital terrestrial television (DTT). Televes recently took part in London in an encounter for companies with a presence in the UK market promoted by the Regional Government of Galicia. At this forum it was revealed that the UK is an increasingly important destination for Galician exports, showing an increase of 24% so far in 2013. Televes Corporation has appointed Matthias Dienst as the new Managing Director of Televes Deutschland GmbH, the Group’s Germany subsidiary. Dienst, who has extensive experience in the sector, will lead Televés’ growth strategy in the German market, considered strategic in the Company’s development plans. Dienst is joining Televes on 11th June. The growth of the German subsidiary will be based on Televés’ classic product lines, such as radio-television signal reception and distribution equipment, but also on new products, such as IP solutions.
