Coaxial connectors
Coaxial connectors
Components used to connect coaxial cables to different devices in the mobile coverage system. They ensure a proper mechanical and electrical connection and minimise signal losses at the connection points, whilst maintaining the continuity of the radio frequency signal. The design and quality of the connectors influence parameters such as insertion loss and passive intermodulation (PIM), which are particularly relevant in mobile communications systems. They are classified according to the type of connector and characteristic impedance, as well as the assembly method to the cable.
