16-fiber cable with UV-resistant LSFH sheath for indoor and outdoor installation. Divided into 4 micro-modules of 4 fibers each, each with its own LSFH sheath and a different colour. This provides a better organization and makes identification easier.
It features a rodent-resistant finish using fiberglass yarns integrated into the sheath. This protection acts as a deterrent by being uncomfortable for rodents, preventing them from continuing to bite the cable without damaging the fiber. Compared to metallic protection, this method offers several advantages. As it is a non-metallic material, it does not rust and provides greater resistance to degradation caused by corrosion. It is also a dielectric protection that prevents the transmission of electrical energy through it, avoiding the issues associated with this. In addition, its lower weight significantly reduces the weight of the cable during transport and facilitates installation. Unlike chemical rodent protection, it does not produce smoke in case of fire. These fiberglass yarns also act as structural reinforcement, providing high tensile strength during installation.
Includes water-blocking gel in each micromodule and water-blocking yarns in the cable structure, providing a physical barrier that prevents water from spreading inside the cable. This prevents changes in the optical refractive index and avoids ice formation in freezing environments, reducing damage caused by moisture freezing.
