CATV optical transmitter with AGC and Temperature Stability (no return path), 1550 nm, 10 dBm
It generates an optical signal in the 1550 nm window, modulated by the incoming CATV RF signal (47…1100 MHz), with an optical output power of 10 dBm.
It incorporates automatic gain control (AGC), which maintains a constant optical output level even if the input RF signal varies due to reception fluctuations or channel load. This avoids the need for subsequent manual readjustments and preserves signal quality. Furthermore, the laser’s temperature control circuit stabilises the output wavelength, which is particularly important in DWDM environments.
It is ideal for RFoG solutions and also as an RF Overlay transmitter in GPON networks.
